Assault and Battery at Watter's Hall

On February 26, 1991, at 2:45 a.m., there was at assault and battery at Watter’s Hall. Sharron Peters, a 19 year-old Saint Mary’s College student was attacked by 21 year-old Thomas Harnell. at 2:50 a.m. Sharron had minor injuries and was treated and released from Winona Hospital. A State Police Trooper said “Y’know the girl who got attacke was the daughter of the vice president of Saint Mary’s? I’ll tell you one thing that’s just a shame; she had more drugs in her purse than you could sell in a month. Because we were on private property, we couldn’t make an arrest.” Seems as if Thomas Harnell’s allegations were true, but he is still being charged with assault and battery.
